Opening day for the Chinook is May 1st on the Fraser River.
Alot of peolple also name them Springs & King Salmon
so dont get confused because they are all the same species.
We fish for these guys between the towns of Mission & Hope in the
beautiful Fraser Valley. Camping on some of the
beaches while fishing is truly a great experience.
Its always a good chance to hook these line zingers as long as
the water conditions are in fair shape, which is most of the time.
Fishing gets hot 1st week of June and stays
that way until fishing restrictions are in place sometime
in the fall, possibly September.
Average size of these Chinooks is 20-35 pounds,at times you evin
here of the 50+ sizes being caught aswell....z z z z z....fish on!
